Generally, SLAs are not explained in detail in the product description or quotation letter attached by the service provider or salesperson.   • How about 99%? Well, let’s count it. for example, if a month has 30 days, then 24 * 30 = 720 hours * 1% = 7 hours 20 minutes. It means in 1 month, the guaranteed uptime is 7 hours 20 minutes. Then If the downtime duration hasn’t exceeded 7 hours and 20 minutes, the customer still not eligible to receive compensation or restitution/compensation.
  • And so on for other percentages, 98%, 97%, etc.

In the maintenance process, especially in software maintenance, 3 special techniques are applied so that the maintenance results are maximum. The 3 techniques are program comprehension, software re-engineering, and reverse engineering. The second technique is software re-engineering. This technique is more advanced than comprehension programs. This technique is done by modifying existing software by reversed engineered. The third technique is reverse engineering. This technique is a technique that is more difficult to do than the two previous techniques.
